AAPI Montclair will host its second annual Lantern Festival for Justice and Remembrance on Sunday, June 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Edgemont Park, after the event was postponed last month due to inclement weather.

AAPI will illuminate the park with thousands of lanterns to remember those killed and harmed by racialized violence and injustice, including anti-Asian hate, and to celebrate community, solidarity and shared goals of securing justice for all.

There will be live musical performances, special guests, family-friendly activities, food trucks and the opportunity for participants to dedicate lanterns with special names or messages.

Admission is free to all. To make a contribution or dedicate a lantern, please visit givebutter.com/lanternfest2022. More information about activities, performers, and speakers will be posted on aapimontclair.org.
