1st ‘Hole in One for Hunger’ golf outing at Upper Montclair Country Club
Bessie Green Community, a non-profit organization helping underprivileged communities in Newark since 1978, is hosting its first annual "Hole in One for Hunger" golf outing fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Upper Montclair Country Club, located at 177 Hepburn Road in Clifton.
The organization's goal is to reach $10,000 in donations, enough to feed 20,000 families through the organization's Full Belly Project.
The grand prize is two tickets to the 2022 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.
“People are defined by the community they live in. Please become a part of our community to help us make an impact on lives in real need. Please help us reach our goal,” Jeanette Turner, president of the board of directors of Bessie Green Community, said in an announcement of the event.
Registration is open and includes lunch, a cocktail reception and an awards ceremony. To register, visit bessiegreen.org or call 973-648-6800.
