Chris Castellani, the offical Montclair weblogger for NJ.com, is now a member of the Montclair Watercooler — after having been rejected for membership by the 800-strong Yahoo group before. We like to think we had something to do with it.
Awwwwww……

I still don’t get why he was originally turned down or what determines whether or not your “accepted” by the Watercooler. (Truth be told, I would have told ’em to stick it!!) In any event, congrats, I guess….
So why was he turned down when he first applied for membership?
Very few people’s requests for membership in The Montclair Watercooler are not approved. There are several simple criteria to be met, however, in order to join this discussion group about Montclair. One is that the person live in, or in a town contiguous to, Montclair. Another is that the person provide a civil short self-introduction. Thank you for your interest in The Montclair Watercooler.

I feel like Rudy when he got to join the Notre Dame football team. RUDY RUDY RUDY
Sorry. I don’t remember why I was turned down in the first place. Did the bio thing when requested. I did think about telling them to “stick it”, but seriously, why make a big fuss over a message board.
It is interesting that none of the complainers even said why they -thought- that they were not accepted for membership, much less provided any communication of explanation from the admins of that group.
