Anthony “Joe” Dixon, a 20-year-old soldier who spent his early childhood in Montclair, died last weekend in Iraq. Dixon’s family moved to Lindenwold, NJ when he was 11. The Star-Ledger story is here.

God moved us from Montclair to a small
town in South Jersey so that Anthony could get a real heroes celebration. The whole town turned out for my baby boy. I loved Montclair when we lived there, but Lindenwold really showed out
during a very rough time for our family.
It has almost been a year 8/1/04, and sometimes it still seems like yesterday. I pray that all of our troops will come home real soon.
We must continue to pray for them everyday.
