This photo comes to us by way of Maureen Berzok, who writes the Jersey Writers blog at NJ.com. That’s Dale Berra, posing next to an oil painting of his famous dad by New Jersey sports artist James Fiorentino.
The occasion was Rutger’s Touchdown Club’s Celebrity Auction Friday night. Also on the auction block Friday: a day with the great Yogi himself.
Touchdown Club prez Doug Dolan wouldn’t reveal how much the Yogi-abilia brought in, but he said Yogi-related prizes were definintely the most sought-after items of the night. The day with Yogi went well into the four figures, Dolan said, and was won by a Florida bidder who participated by phone. The booster club raised more than $25,000 at the event.
Thanks to Soprano Sue for alerting Berzok to our interest in all things Yogi.

Dale spent some time in The Show himself. Ten years, in fact.
