Tonight, 75 foster kids in Newark are getting a visit from an angel and Santa Claus. Angel Vargas (yes, that’s his real name) will don the full red suit to play Santa at a party at the Metropolitan Baptist Church for children from all over Essex county. We caught him coming out of Grove Street Pharmacy, where he’s rented the costume two years in a row. When Angel isn’t moonlighting as Santa, he works in Montclair as a social worker. Sounds like his momma named him right! If you want to spread some good cheer, Santa suit rentals are $55-$75.
