You won’t find this post on the Montclair Watercooler (too commercial!), but here at Barista, we consider it almost a public service announcement, especially for the caffeine-challenged. Starbucks is open in Montclair today (not the Valley Road store, just the Bloomfield Ave. shop). If you need a double shot fix before facing the holiday or driving over the river and through the woods to Grandmother’s house, we invite you to fuel up and don’t forget to tip the crew.
If someone posted on the ‘cooler:
“For all you caffeine challenged, Starbucks (or Cafe eclectic, or whatever) is open today, Christmas”
it would certainly be posted. It’s not commercial, and it’s Montclair.
However, if the owner of the Starbucks posted:
“Hi folks! For all you caffeine challenged, Starbucks will be open today and is offering a 25% off sale today on Christmas blend, or a 2 for 1 on Breakfast blend, come early!”
That would be considered commercial and wouldn’t be approved.
However, the owner could post:
“Hi folks! For all you caffeine challenged, Starbucks will be open today and is having a sale. Check the ‘cooler files for details.” He could then post sale details in the ‘cooler files section.
Yeah, no matter what you could post on UnMod and we woudn’t care if it was commercial or simply benovelent.
Ahh, the life of a Watercooler BD…sitting around picking apart the semantics of the human language!
