A school bus accident occurred today on Park Street in front of Lacordaire Academy in Upper Montclair. The accident involved a bus from the Montclair public schools, not the private Catholic school. Story developing.
UPDATE: Len Romano, director of transportation of the Montclair Schools, tells us that the school bus, which was headed toward Northeast School, carried 25 students, all in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. As a precaution, the students were taken to Mountainside Hospital, where they were released. In addition to the driver, who suffered a leg injury, there was an aide on the bus.
