Via Eric Wilson, a fine eulogist of the highest order, but in the original article forgets the date for the upcoming Black Style show (but still did better than the Star Ledger) even if they didn’t tell as good a story as BET.

  1. Another great African-American from Montclair, Dr. Alan Pinderhughes, died on July 7th as well. He was the first African-American appointed to practice obstetrics/gynecology at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston. He was only 57 years old at the time of his death, but his practice and his dedication to his patients made him a true legend in the Montclair African-American community.
