Saw three deer in Cary’s Woods this mornning. One stopped 10 yards in front of me. Wish I had my camera.
Gorgeous photo! We drove through Eagle Rock last night and the deer were all along the memorial wall, just looking out. One walked up to our car when we slowed down. Unfortunately, I wish they were more leary of cars so they would not run and get hit.
There’s literally *thousands* of those starlings hovering around my yard today!
they are gathering for a Starling Service – play some upbeat music for them and they will dance and fly for you!
I’m sorry to see that no one on the baristanet crew when down to Forest Ave. in Glen Ridge last night. I’d say the entire street with the exception of about 10 houses had lined luminaries up and down the street. It was a beautiful sight to anyone that saw it.

The candles were surrounded by sand, it’s not as if they were just lit candles sitting in the grass. You seem to feel the need to take something that was beautiful and turn it around to make it seem bad.

I stole my sand from the local golf course. I’ll return it when I’m done with it!
It’s called, wow Hiding, you are a raging idiot.
They are white bags, folded at the top. They are filled about 3-4 inches with sand bought at your local gardening store. They have a small votive candle within the sand in the middle of the bag. The sand holds the bag down and prevents the candle from burning anything else.

What does the gardening center charge you for a luminary?

Love the photo!!! Christmas I was stuck in Millville in a senior citizens complex visiting my aunt and uncle. While familial, it was a long day; each second assuming its own character.
There were no luminaries in this complex; however, there were ordinary lights. Guess one must be in Glen Ridge to be illuminated; however, are these luminous residents enlightened?
