But they were stringing lights on big fir tree in front of Glen Ridge Borough Hall yesterday in preparation for the annual tree lighting and carol sing this Sunday, Dec. 2, at 4:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Montclair’s big tree lighting on Church Street is tomorrow (Friday Nov. 30) at 5 pm, and Bloomfield’s tree lighting is Monday Dec. 3, no time specified. Santa will be visiting Montclair shopping districts on Saturday.

  2. Nice that they are putting up a real tree, I thought the “Turf” folks may have wanted a fake tree.

  3. At least they are not cutting down the live tree thats there and putting up a fake tree like the “Turf” folks are ripping up live grass and put down fake grass
