This is a really cool way to spend the day off from school for an aspiring artist and sports fan. There will be a drawing clinic held at the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center hosted by Tony Capparelli, sports artist and educator.
If you’re a sports fan, you know Tony Capparelli’s art. From his piece Big Blue Afternoon, which celebrated the final season of Giants Stadium to his most recent Super Bowl XLIV portrait, Capparelli has captured the art of American sports.
Kids who attend the clinic will get art lessons from Capparelli as they create a portrait of the NJ Devils mascot. Sorry grown-ups, this clinic is just for kids.
