Tonight, Friday April 30 _Empty Bowls Project
Montclair High School students are hosting a dinner to raise funds for the hungry. You are invited to come and enjoy some yummy fare (some donated by local restaurants, some cooked by MHS students) in a student made bowl. The way it works: Guests select a bowl, fill it with food, and take it home when they’re done! Cost: $10 Time: 7-9 PM Place: MHS Annex Cafe, Park Street and Chestnut. Tomorrow’s launch of Montclair’s most beautiful celebration, is the start of a ton of fun all month long. The kick-off is a town-wide competition for the prettiest storefront. Watchung Plaza will be hosting a May Day Celebration all day… come out for the Pup Parade at 11am.

ANDERSON PARK SPRUCE-UP – Volunteers and Green Thumbs needed. Friends of Anderson Park could use some helping hands with springtime mulching, weeding, litter collection, and invasive-plant removal. We’ll also be clearning debris out of Tony’s Brook, part of the Passaic River watershed, improving the flow downstream. Bring gloves, shovels and other tools if possible. Meet at 1 p.m. by the bathrooms near Parkside Road at the southeast corner of the park. Anderson Park is at the corner of Bellevue and North Mountain Avenues in Upper Montclair.
