For the City Loving Dad and His Family:
Saturday, June 19
2 pm – Head to Coney Island for the annual Mermaid Parade: Great music, lovely mermaids and Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson play King and Queen this year.
Sunday, June 20
11 am – South Street Seaport hosts the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown. A place for amateur athletes to show off their skills.
For the Artsy Dad and His Family:
Saturday, June 19
10 am – Take a stroll along the paths at Brookdale Park and enjoy the art at the Spring Arts & Crafts Show.
1 pm – Learn about architecture at MAM’s Imagination Station–a drop-in program that offers lessons, discussion, hands-on activities and more.
Sunday, June 20
3 pm – Enjoy a meal, a drink and a show at Piano’s Bar and Grill. The Gaslamp Players will entertain with a special Father’s Day performance.
For the Dad Who is a Kid at Heart:
Saturday, June 19
9:00 am – Enjoy a concert at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza by Secret Agent 23 Skidoo.
3 pm – Head to the NJ State Fair and play games, ride the roller coasters and eat funnel cakes!
Sunday, June 20
1:30 pm – See the boy who never grew up in The Papermill Playhouse’s production of Peter Pan.
