Two Sundays of Yoga, All for Good Causes

Calling all yogis! This Sunday and next, you have an opportunity to take place in three large-scale local yoga events, each to benefit a good cause.

This Sunday (9/19) from 8 to 11 a.m. at Lotus Yoga at 7 N. Willow St., Montclair, do 108 sun salutations in the Lotus Yoga Mala Fundrasier to bring yoga to under-served constituencies in Newark, Montclair, Bloomfield and East Orange. Cost is $108 — $1 for every sun salutation — and all the money goes to Lotus in Action. For more information, write to lotusyogamala@gmail.com or donate here.

Also this Sunday, another huge Yoga Mala fundraiser is taking place in Newark, and it kicks off with a speech by Mayor Cory Booker. The event goes from 8:15 to 2 and includes 108 rounds of Om. Next Sunday (9/26), do your downward dogs on the Montclair High School football field, Essex Ave., to benefit the Montclair Foundation for Educational Excellence.
