I don’t know what happened. I wore my pajamas inside-out and backwards and put a spoon under my pillow, but schools were still open today.

Many called early dismissals, some even after 9 am, which is why they weren’t added to my list–I had to go teach this morning.

Montclair schools didn’t call an early dismissal, but the principal at Nishuane School, Ms. Gail Clark, told parents they could pick up their children early without a problem. So that’s what I did when I got off from teaching. The main roads are fine, but the side roads are pretty slippery. I zig-zagged turning on Union Street going up to North Mountain.

Did your child’s school have an early dismissal? Did anyone just decide to keep the kids home to avoid going out in this mess?
