First, Montclair Public Schools sent out a message this morning saying you could take your children home early because of the heat and now Millburn School district just announced an early dismissal for tomorrow, June 9:
Due to predictions of extreme heat tomorrow, Millburn schools will have an early dismissal on Thursday, June 9.
Dismissal times are: Millburn High School: 11:50 a.m.
Millburn Middle School: 12:15 p.m.
Elementary Schools: 12:40 p.m.Buses will run according to the early dismissal schedule.
You may wish to send your child in with a snack and water.
You will receive information from your school principal regarding any school activity cancellations or changes.
Other schools are starting to call early dismissals too.

Belleville Public Schools
Newark Public Schools
South Orange -Maplewood Public Schools will NOT close early, however they have sent the following message to parents:
We ask all staff to limit physical activities for students and to ensure that students remain hydrated. Students may bring recyclable or plastic water bottles to school tomorrow (no glass, please). Parents may sign their children out if conditions pose individual concerns.
