Want to vote on Tuesday, but still not sure who will get your vote?  Or want to learn more about the candidate you will vote for? NJ Spotlight has released an online Voter Guide just in time for Tuesday’s election.

On the site, simply plug in your address and you will be directed to all of the candidates and issues that will appear on your ballot on Tuesday.

For example, in Montclair and Glen Ridge”s Senate District (34) you will have the choice between Republican Ralph Bartnik and incumbent Nia Gill, a Democrat. Unfortunately, neither of the Senate candidates, nor any of the Assembly candidates, “responded to repeated requests to answer questions” posed by the site. NJ Spotlight has, however, written about the specific races, which you can read by clicking on the “More on this race on NJ Spotlight” link.

Bloomfield residents who want to learn more about their township council candidates can tune into WBMA-TV, Bloomfield Township’s local government access channel (Comcast channel 35, Verizon FiOS channel 30). Over the next few days, starting this afternoon, the station will air the Township Council Candidates Forum and the District 5 Freeholders Forum. For a schedule, click here.

You can also watch the Bloomfield Township Council Candidate’s Forum in High Definition on the WBMA-TV Video On Demand Player by clicking here.

  1. In regard to the Candidates’ Forum, Councilman Nick Joanow has said many times, that he is available for the people of the Township 24/7 and this weekend he again proved to me that this is true.

We had an emergency sewer break and I had called the wrong plumber – they could not clear my line, and left us for the weekend without being able to use the shower, toilet, etc. We called Nick Joanow – and this was late on Friday, evening – and he immediately put us in touch with the DPW who got us the right information about what to do and who to contact. The plumber that was recommended got our line cleared, and are fixing my problem for a fraction of the cost of what these other guys suggested. If Nick hadn’t been available to make that call, we would have really been in bad shape.

Thanks again, Nick Joanow! Your are super!
