One of the few shows that I was allowed to watch as a child (other than The Lawrence Welk Show) was Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. And while I don’t like people messing around with icons of my (and Georgette’s) childhood, I do make exceptions. The Willy Wonka meme is one. And this remix of Mr. Rogers encouraging imagination is another.
Personally, I’m not sure this is meant for young kids; the tinny, trippy, echo-effect is a little harsh for toddler ears. I like to think that perhaps we, as parents, need the reminder to enjoy the simple tasks that slow us down and force us to live in the moment.
