Nancy Pelosi tweets that she wants a woman moderator for the presidential debate — just like the Montclair girls — Emma Axelrod, Elena Tsemberis and Sammi Siegel — who delivered a petition last week to the DNC and RNC entitled “It’s Time for a Woman Moderator: Equality in the 2012 Presidential Debates!”

The New York Daily News reports that Pelosi suggests ABC News’ Diane Sawyer, PBS’ Gwen Ifill, CNN’s Candy Crowley and NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell.

It’s been 20 years since a woman moderated the debate. Who would you like to see grilling the presidential candidates this year?

  1. Kara DioGuardi or Wendy Williams, since I’m sure the debates will approach (but never quite achieve) the conversational skills of either woman.

If neither is available, Ann Curry.
