Description: Officer Joseph Uliano was dispatched to 222 Ridgewood Ave. to take a report of criminal mischief. The victim reported that unknown suspect(s) broke a temporary door at the construction site. Nothing was reported missing at this time.

Incident: Theft
Description: Officer Christopher Grogan was dispatched to the 200 block of Ridgewood Ave. to take a report of a theft. The victim reported that while doing work they left two nail guns out and they were taken by unknown suspect(s). The equipment is valued at $800.

Incident: Shoplifting
Description: Officer Christopher Grogan was dispatched to Bottle King on Bloomfield Ave. to take report of a shoplifting. The manager reported that two white males came into the store and removed a bottle of alcohol without paying. The men were described as follows: one was heavy set, early 20’s with a beard, wearing blue jeans and an ECKO sweatshirt. The second suspect is described as a thin male, early 20’s, black jeans, gray hooded sweatshirt, and white sneakers.

Incident: Pursuit/Eluding
Description: While on patrol Officer Bryan Hackett observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed going east on Bloomfield Ave. Officer Hackett attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled ignoring the lights and siren. The vehicle was possibly a Ford Mustang and continued east into Bloomfield where the pursuit was terminated. The case has been turned over to the detective bureau for investigation.

Incident: Shoplifting
Description: Officer Matthew Koc was dispatched to Bottle King on Bloomfield Ave. to take a report of shoplifting. The manager reported that 10/2/2012 a white male and white female entered the store and removed a bottle of alcohol without paying. The male was described as having short black hair wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans; the female was wearing a black sweat suit. The case is under investigation by the detective bureau who are following leads on a possible suspect.

Incident: Burglary/Theft
Description: Officer Charles Roberts was dispatched to 222 Ridgewood Ave. to take a report of burglary and theft. The victim reported that the building is under construction and sometime during the night unknown suspect(s) entered the building and removed tools and copper. During this week the Glen Ridge Police Department investigated (5 motor vehicle accidents which resulted in no injuries.
Were the guys at Bottle King just picking up a pricey bottle of pear brandy?
