strategic planning forumsDr. Penny MacCormack, Montclair’s Superintendent, began the district’s strategic planning process at her “Wisdom of the Community” event on April 3. After sharing with the audience what she felt were the district’s strengths and challenges, she gave everyone a chance to participate by adding their thoughts on the subject. Now, she has scheduled four strategic planning forums to begin working on putting together objectives and plans for the district. She sent out the following letter to the community:

Dear Community Friends,

The first of Montclair Public School’s (MPS) four community strategic planning forums is coming up:

Monday, April 29, 7-9 PM
MPS Central Office, 22 Valley Road, 2nd Floor Conference Room
Forum on Communication and Parent Engagement

All community members are welcome to attend and participate in this interactive planning forum. These forums will begin our work together crafting strategies and measurable objectives that will inform the strategic plan for our district.

I hope you can attend one or more of the forums. I look forward to continuing this collaborative process with you as we move forward enhancing teaching and learning within the Montclair Public Schools.
