It happens every year after Montclair High’s graduation. The boarding of school buses to head to the secret location for Project Graduation, an all-night party for high school graduates that begins immediately after the graduation ceremony. It is an opportunity for the graduates to spend quality time with their classmates in a fun and safe alcohol and drug-free environment. The Project Graduation event is planned mostly by parents of seniors, with much help and support from all parents, high school staff and the entire Montclair Community.
Seniors get on the buses, which are led by MPD police cars and EMT trucks and drive through town blasting sirens and screaming for joy! After making their way through town, they head to the all-night party.
We’ll have a full story of the fun night by our intern Lena Rawley who graduated yesterday and attended the festivities.
Congratulations to Lena and all the MHS graduates!
Is this the only coverage you are posting for the MHS graduation? Sad.
No Gail, it isn’t.
Since we had a MHS senior do her CIP internship with us, we thought
It fitting that she write a first hand account of the graduation
And project graduation.
The story will run first thing in the morning. You’ll have to forgive her taking time to recover after a very busy day and all night event.
No, Ms. ‘Gette, we don’t have to forgive her. In fact we will judge her harshly, and condemn her here with our words. For shame! For shame!
