BURGLARY
09-05-2013 – On Park Place there was an attempt burglary where the suspect tried to pry open a front door. No entry was gained.
BURGLARY INTO AUTO
09-03-2013 – On the 100 block of Baldwin Pl. a 2003 Ford was broken into and $10.00 is missing.
09-04-2013 – On the 100 block of N 15th St. an unknown person stole college text books out of his vehicle.
09-04-2013 – On Warren St. a victim reported that a suspect stole a temporary license plate off of his 2013 Nissan while it was parked in his driveway.
09-04-2013 – On Montgomery St. between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am a 2009 Toyota was broken into. A Mac laptop computer and a GPS unit were taken.
STOLEN VEHICLE
09-03-2013 – At 60 Orange St., the Home Depot, a 2001 Dodge with N.J. license plate was stolen.
09-05-2013 – On Franklin and Watsessing Ave. a 2010 Toyota with N.J. license plates was stolen.
09-06-2013 – On the 200 block of Ampere Parkway a 2002 Chrysler Voyager with N.J. license plates was stolen.

ROBBERY/CARJACKING
On September 8, 2013 at 12:38 pm on the 100 block of Newark Ave. a 63 year old Bloomfield woman reported being the victim of a robbery, when she was approached by a man who grabbed, removed and stole a “fanny pack” that she was wearing around her waist. After taking the “fanny pack” the suspect ran to and entered a silver 4 door SUV that was parked on Newark Ave. and was occupied by a second suspect. The vehicle fled toward Belleville on Newark Ave. The suspects were both described by the victim only as being black males in their 20’s.
A search of the area proved to be negative for the suspects or the suspect vehicle.

D.U.I. ARRESTS
09-09-2013 – Jonathan Pepe of Bloomfield was arrested for DUI on the 800 block of Broad St. by Officer Anthony Cruz.
09-09-2013 – Jeffery Valdiviezo of Bloomfield was arrested for DUI on Edison St. by Officer Anthony Cruz.

09-03-2013 – Sergio Tenesaco of Bloomfield was arrested for False Reports.
09-05-2013 – Norberto Diaz Jr. of Kearny was arrested for Warrants.
On September 9, 2013, Sebastian Campo age 20 of Bloomfield, Marlon Campo age 27 of Bloomfield and Vaughn Filaci age 22 of Bloomfield, were all arrested at 7:11 pm after they were involved in a motor vehicle crash, which led to a DUI and Possession of CDS investigation.
Officer Luca Piscitelli was working a Special Detail at the St. Valentine’s Festival along with several other Bloomfield Officers, when they heard a crash at the intersection of JFK Dr. and Hoover Ave. When the Officers arrived at the accident scene, they determined that none of the occupants of the two vehicles involved in the crash were injured. As Officer Piscitelli began interviewing Mr. Sebastian Campo, who was the driver of a blue 2004 Chevy that was involved, he detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle as well as other physical signs that Mr. S. Campo was under the influence of marijuana. After Field Sobriety Tests confirmed Officer Piscitelli’s suspicions, Mr. S. Campo was placed under arrest for DUI.
A check of Mr. S. Campo’s vehicle, which was occupied by passengers Marlon Campo and Vaughn Filaci, revealed a large quantity of CDS and some CDS paraphernalia. Both passengers were placed under arrest and the CDS / paraphernalia were taken into evidence along with a large sum of money that was discovered on Mr. S. Campo’s person.
The arrestee’s were transported to Police HQ’s where they were all charged with:
- Possession of marijuana (110 grams)
- Possession of hashish (3.2 grams)
- Possession of prescription legend drugs (8 tablets Alprazolam / Xanax)
- Possession of CDS (marijuana)with the intent to distribute
- Possession of a prescription legend drug (Alprazolam) with the intent to distribute
- Possession of CDS (marijuana) with the intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school
- Possession of CDS with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park
- Possession of CDS paraphernalia
- Being under the influence of marijuana, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle,
Mr. S. Campo was additionally charged with:
- DUI
- DUI within 1000 feet of a school
- Possession of CDS in a motor vehicle
- Careless driving
- Failure to exhibit a driver’s license
- Failure to yield right of way
- Failure to wear a seatbelt
The honorable Judge John Paparazzo set bail for each of the arrestee’s at $75,000.00 with court dates pending.
