You may be familiar with the video work of Montclair’s Wheeler Antabanez. We’ve written about his explorations of Overbrook and his view of the real Montclair and his particular passion the Passaic River. Now we learn Wheeler has another passion. Helping FIV and feral cats.
He and his wife have started a website called FIVerCats, which is dedicated to helping feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) cats and/or feral cats find and stay in their homes.
On it they provide resources for community cat caregivers and offer a free instruction manual for building outdoor feral cat shelters.
They currently shelter several FIV and feral cats. While they are not able to take or help rehome any other cats at the moment, they hope to help these cats by providing resources.
