Elf on the Shelf – the special elf sent from the North Pole to help Santa manage his naughty and nice lists – will be making daily appearances throughout Decemebr on the Turtle Back Zoo Facebook page.
Each morning from December 1 through December 24, a photo of the Elf in a unique Turtle Back Zoo location – in an exhibit, on the grounds, with an animal – will appear on the Zoo’s Facebook page. Parents can tune in daily to share the fun photo with their children, and to get a reminder to move their own elf to a new location at home!
The zookeepers are taking all of the photos, allowing the Elf access to some pretty special places throughout the Zoo. “Bringing the Elf on the Shelf into the Zoo is another special way for us to connect with our visitors through social media,” said Brint Spencer, Director, Turtle Back Zoo. “Many of our Facebook fans already have the Elf in their homes. Now we can share that tradition with them.”
