Date/Time: 3/23/2014 @ 3:30 PM
Incident: Criminal Mischief
Description: Officer Christopher Grogan was dispatched to headquarters to take a report of criminal mischief. The victim reported that while parked on Chapman Pl. between 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM unknown suspect(s) scratched the driver side door of their vehicle with a hard object causing damage.

Incident: Warrant Arrest
Description: Officer Ryan Schwartz arrested Cherie Coppedge, 27 of Montclair, N.J. for an outstanding traffic warrant on Bloomfield Ave. She was transported to headquarters for processing and released on bail.

Incident: Burglary/Theft
Description: Officers were dispatched to Willow St. on a report of a burglary and theft. The victim reported that they arrived home and found a side door open and items missing from the residence. Officers checked the residence for suspects with negative results. The burglary occurred sometime during the day and anyone with information can contact Det. Daniel Manley @ 973-748-5400 X119.

Incident: DWI Arrest
Description: Officer Ryan Schwartz arrested Gregory Paul, 37 of Bloomfield, N.J. for driving while intoxicated on Bloomfield Ave. He was transported to headquarters for processing and later released.

Incident: Possession of CDS/Possession of CDS with intent to Distribute Arrest
Description: Officer Ryan Schwartz arrested Robert Haley 3rd, 28 of Paterson, N.J. on Bloomfield Ave. During a motor vehicle stop the suspect provided false information to PO Schwartz regarding his identity, and was in possession of a knife. Mr. Haley was transported to headquarters for processing and it was discovered that he was in possession of 17 bags of Heroin. He was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession to Distribute, Possession on near School Property and Hindering Apprehension. Bail was set and he is awaiting transportation to the Essex County Jail in Newark, N.J.

During this week the Glen Ridge Police Department investigated (4) motor vehicle accidents which resulted in no injuries.
