Montclair High School’s Sisters on the Runway club will host its 9th Annual Spring Fashion Show this Friday, May 16 at The Loft in Montclair.
This year’s show will feature an exciting line-up of Spring fashions for women and men on loan from some of Montclair’s finest clothing boutiques including Barbara Eclectic, Dot Reeder, South Moon Under, Wildly Smitten, Thread, Retrograde, Heratij , One Savvy Design, D’Moni, Speakeasy Vintage, Atelier, Style Haven, and Culture Couture. Hair styling and make-up for all the MHS student models are being generously provided by Esthetica Salon, Hair at Alicia’s, Mark Christopher Salon, and Studio D.
SOR’s mission is to raise awareness and funds for Shelter Our Sisters, a Bergen County shelter for victims of domestic violence. Funds are raised from various events that are planned and organized by the club’s 50+ members led by co-presidents Lauren Glasse and Linda Meliani. This year’s highlights included a self-defense class, several sporting event bake sales, and a holiday Snow Ball.
Community members are welcome to attend this exciting evening of fashion, live music, refreshments, and raffle baskets containing donations from area merchants. Generous supporters have also provided silent auction items including an electric guitar personally signed by members of Maroon 5 and a beautiful necklace and earrings set from Heidi Daus Designs.
Tickets are still available and can be be purchased online at or through the club’s co-presidents by emailing here. While tickets are expected to sell out, a limited number of tickets may be available at the door. Donations to the club will also be accepted.
