Church Street. Montclair Center Stage. The Clairidge. Raymond’s. Farmers’ Market. Those are just five reasons why you should vote now for Montclair Center as the best downtown area in North Jersey.
Montclair Center has been named a finalist again by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association in the 2014 People’s Choice Awards for outstanding downtowns in North Jersey (We won it in 2013). The APA-NJ panelists considered how well a city’s downtown area functions as the centerpiece of everyday life for local residents, its reputation beyond the community’s boundaries, available options for transportation and support from community members to gain, maintain and develop businesses. Montclair is up against Hoboken, Historic Downtown Jersey City, and Downtown Morristown.

Please, those other towns ain’t got nothin’ on us. We have a first rate art museum (Shout out to MAM!), a film festival (You guys rock Montclair FF!) music (Jazz House Kids is the best), top chefs offering the best food, art galleries, fashion, and so much more.
You can help Montclair by voting online here now
Be sure to vote before the poll closes at midnight on September 26! Participants can only vote once; however, there is no limit to the number of times you can campaign for votes on social media (Tweet your love!)
APA-‐NJ will announce the winners early in October. Each winner will receive a plaque at a local award ceremony,a place on the map of Great Places in New Jersey at njplanning.org, and, of course, bragging rights.
Oh hell no. Not voting for downtown Montclair to be voted as best anything. Parking is awful enough in that area! That’ll only make it worse.
