Tomorrow (Saturday, October 11th) bring the family to Essex County Environmental Center’s Tenth Annual OctoberFest Fall Family Celebration.
Visitors to OctoberFest can go on canoe trips on the Passaic River or nature walks in Essex County’s West Essex Park. There will be a petting zoo, gardening tips, a live beehive display, woodturning demonstrations, pumpkin carving demonstrations, nature arts and crafts, face painting, free refreshments provided by Whole Foods Market of Montclair, a pumpkin patch maze, display tables from a variety of eco-vendors and live music.
Participating in OctoberFest with the Environmental Center are the County’s partner agencies: New Jersey Audubon, Essex County Master Gardeners, Essex County Beekeepers, 4-H Club, Essex County Rutgers Cooperative Extension, New Jersey Woodturners Association and the Essex County Environmental Commission. Octoberfest is sponsored by Whole Foods Market of Montclair, Aramark and TD Bank Charitable Foundation. Admission throughout the day is free, but vendor items will be for sale.
