Modern Yarn

For the past five years, Modern Yarn on Glenridge Avenue has made the Baristaville knitting and crocheting landscape more colorful and cozy. Sadly, for locals who have enjoyed the variety and quality provided by owner Kathleen McWilliams, the store will close its doors for a final time on December 21st.

However, a silver thread runs through the impending closing! In an effort to clear out her inventory, Ms. McWilliams is offering up her quality products at 20% off, with many other items at an even steeper discount. Books related to all things knitting and crocheting are $5-$10, and patterns are priced at just $3 — or four patterns for $10.

Anyone with friends or family who love to knit should skedaddle over to Modern Yarn at 182 Glenridge Avenue, next to {verdigreen}, for beautiful gifts and stocking stuffers. For those with butterfingers like mine, make sure to check out the sample rack that includes beautiful sweaters and scarves already knitted for you. See more items available here.

Stop in to have a look around and help Modern Yarn clear its shelves! We wish Kathleen McWilliams all the best in her retirement from retail life, and Baristaville thanks her for her community-oriented spirit!
