Edeyo Foundation has provided free education, food, water, and social support to the children of the impoverished Bel-Air neighborhood in Port-au-Prince for the past six years. Bel-Air is a “red-zone” neighborhood that receives no international NGO support due to security concerns. The Haitian Education and Leadership Program (HELP) has provided university scholarships to high performing high school graduates throughout Haiti based solely on merit and need since 1996. Lamp for Haiti reduces the causes of ill health by engaging in water and sanitation projects, supporting local schools, and providing health education and humanitarian aid.
