On Saturday, November 14, Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless, aka MESH, will present their 3rd annual MESHing with Motown party at the Montclair Art Museum.
With colder weather on the way, national “Homelessness and Hunger Week” — which takes place November 14-22 — reminds us that not everyone has a cozy place to stay warm. Here in Montclair, MESH (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless) has planned a series of events, beginning with this fun fundraiser. The funds raised will help MESH fulfill its mission to help the hungry and homeless in the Montclair community.
Executive Director Gwen Ames notes, “When you think about homelessness, most people think about cities. But we have homeless people right here in Montclair. H&H Week is held during the week before Thanksgiving, and it’s an opportunity for us to show our compassion for those who have much less to be thankful for.”
Guests will enjoy dancing to the dynamic Motown sound of Valerie Adams and the Dimension Band, food from Morso Catering, and beer and wine along with a silent auction and raffle.
