Arrest:
12-15-2015 (CVS Bloomfield Avenue) Mr. Brandon Hart, 27yoa from Montclair, was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. Mr. Hart was charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest. He was also held on outstanding warrants out of Montclair ($758) and West Orange ($141)
12-16-2015 (Forest Street) A 17yoa juvenile male from East Orange was arrested for breaking into a motor vehicle.
12-17-2015 (Valley Road) Ms. Tawanna Brown, 35yoa from Montclair, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of town ($500)
12-18-2015 (Elm Street) Ms. Beatrice East, 67yoa from East Orange was arrested and charged with DWI.
12-18-2015 (Mission Street) Mr. Jewell Washington, 35yoa from Newark, was arrested and charged with DWI. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana at the time of his arrest.
Theft:
12-15-2015 (Glenridge Avenue) Theft from a motor vehicle. Entry was gained by smashing a driver side window. A wallet containing cash was taken.12-15-2015 (Glenridge Avenue) Theft of a purse from an unlocked motor vehicle.
12-18-2015 (Macopin Avenue) Theft from a motor vehicle. Loose change was taken. No sign of forced entry.
12-18-2015 (Patton Place) Theft from an unlocked motor vehicle. Cash and sunglasses were taken.
12-20-2015 (Virginia Avenue) Theft of a 2007 Dodge Caliber from a residential driveway. This vehicle was recovered, unoccupied, an hour later in West Orange.
12-20-2015 (Franklin Place) Theft from a motor vehicle. Cash was taken from a wallet, which had been left in the vehicle.
Miscellaneous:12-16-2015 (Fredrick Street) A vehicle, parked in the street, was vandalized with a black marker.
