tax dayOn Saturday, February 13 and Saturday, March 19, New Jersey Citizen Action (NJCA) will offer free tax preparation services at Montclair Public Library as part of its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for households earning $54,000 or less in 2015. This service is offered by appointment only.

NJCA’s free tax preparation services are available in English and Spanish. IRS-certified staff prepare and electronically file federal and New Jersey state tax returns for individuals and families making less than $54,000 annually, and helps those eligible claim the state and federal Earned Income Tax Credits.

  1. AARP also provides free tax preparation by IRS certified volunteers. We are at the United Way building, next to the Montclair Public Library. There are no limits on income or age.
