Toast (700 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair) is open beginning at 7:30 am. Toast doesn’t accept reservations, but it uses the Nowait app, so you can add your name to the waitlist before you get there! 973.509.8099.
Raymond’s (28 Church Street, Montclair) starts serving up breakfast and brunch at 8 am. Like Toast, Raymond’s doesn’t take reservations, so expect a bit of a wait. 973.744-9263.
Plum on Park (14 Park Street, Montclair) will serve up a delicious brunch on New Year’s Day from 9 am – 3 pm. 973.744.7100.
Montclair Char-Broil Diner (613 Valley Road, Montclair) serves up good old-fashioned Greek diner breakfast and brunch starting at 7 am. 973.746.0911.
And speaking of Greek, you can get a Greek breakfast/brunch at Stamna Greek Taverna (66 East Main Street, Little Falls) beginning at 9 am. 973.256.6400.
Uptown 596 (596 Valley Road, Montclair) serves up breakfast/brunch starting at 9 am and you can make reservations online. 973.744.0915.
Fresco Da Franco (15 Church Street, Montclair) will host a New Year’s Day “Hang Over” Brunch from 11:30 am to 4 pm. Reservations 973.337.5100.
Bluestone Coffee Co. (123 Watchung Avenue, Montclair) opens at 8 am. No reservations and there is usually a wait, so get there early. 973.783.3523
Essex Junction (90 Washington Street, Bloomfield) will open for brunch at 10:30 am and serves cocktails too!
Sátis Bistro (289 Glenwood Avenue, Bloomfield) will serve brunch from 11 am – 5 pm. Reservations recommended 973.743.1097.
Red Eye Cafe (94 Walnut Street) will open for breakfast/brunch starting at 9 am. They don’t take reservations and waits can be long, so plan accordingly. 973.509-3663.
Cloverleaf Tavern (395 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell) will serve a New year’s Day brunch buffet from 10 am – 3 pm. A Bacon Bloody’s with Slider is a perfect hangover cure.
