Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy will be the keynote speaker at the Montclair Democratic County Committee’s (MDCC) annual dinner next week.

The event at the Valley Regency in Clifton will also honor the local organizations NJ 11th For Change and Montclair Grass Roots. The dinner is Thursday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m.

“Each year, the MDCC Annual Dinner provides us an opportunity to honor our local organizations in and around Montclair and stand for our shared ideals,” Brendan Gill, the group’s chair and Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders vice president, said in a statement.

“This year, I am excited to welcome special guest Ambassador Phil Murphy and thrilled to honor NJ 11th For Change and Montclair Grass Roots,” Gill said.
