A Nor’ Easter has created icy slick road conditions and winds up to 55 mph for the area and Essex County residents Friday. Wind gusts resulted in uprooting a tree which came down on a car parked on Orange Road at around 12:15 p.m.

A wind advisory is in effect until Saturday, 6 a.m. with winds expected to get stronger late afternoon and tonight. Damaging winds are expected to blow down power lines and trees.
