BURGLARY/THEFT
Tuesday, July 23—A male entered the CVS, 514 Bloomfield Ave., removed 12 pairs of “Zipper” headphones, and fled without paying. The suspect is described as an African American male, bald head and medium build, wearing a dark, or navy blue colored shirt with lettering on the front and back, gray pants and black shoes.
Tuesday, July 23—An unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Valley Road and removed the owner’s handicapped placard.
Wednesday, July 24—A 2013 Volkswagen Jetta was stolen from the driveway of a Bellaire Drive residence during the overnight hours. The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys inside. The vehicle was recovered, parked and unoccupied in East Orange on July 28.
Wednesday, July 24—An unlocked vehicle was entered during the overnight hours on Central Avenue. Cash, an ATM card and sunglasses were taken.
Friday, July 26—Two patrons of The Crosby, 193 Glenridge Ave., racked up a bill for over $200 and left the restaurant without paying. Suspect one is described as a shorter white male with glasses and a beard wearing a blue hat with an NFL Patriots logo, a red and blue striped polo shirt and jeans. Suspect two is described as a tall, heavy set Hispanic male with black hair wearing a white short sleeve button down shirt, a white watch, blue shorts and gray sneakers.
Saturday, July 27—Two vehicles left unlocked on Grove Street were entered during the overnight hours. The victims reported cash missing.
Sunday, July 28—CVS Pharmacy, 565 Valley Road, management reported observing an unknown male placing numerous pieces of merchandise in his shirt and fleeing the store. The suspect is described as a bald Hispanic male approximately 5 foot; 5 inches in height wearing a N.Y. Yankee baseball jersey, white shorts, and black sneakers.
Sunday, July 28—A Greenwood Avenue resident reported two packages containing miscellaneous clothing items that had been delivered to her home were stolen.
ARRESTS
Wednesday, July 24—Management at Merit Fine Wine and Liquors, 599 Bloomfield Ave., flagged an officer down and reported that a shoplifting just occurred. Officers located a 61-year-old Jersey City man who was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.
Monday, July 12—A 46-year-old Montclair man was arrested on Park Street for open warrants out of Orange and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.
