Montclair Township Health Department reports that as of Monday, the confirmed number of COVID-19 cases in Montclair is 79; 13 individuals did not survive the illness, nine were from long-term care facilities.
Lona May Erwin, 86, a resident of Montclair’s Family of Caring Nursing Home, is one of five people who have died at that facility due to complications of COVID-19. That number also includes the facility’s administrator, John Cofrancesco, who was 52.
According to the township of Verona, the Montclair Health Department also updated the number of residents of Verona who have tested positive COVID-19 to 17. This includes eight (8) additional cases since Saturday.
Glen Ridge increased by one case Monday for a total of seven confirmed cases. Currently, there have been no fatalities. Bloomfield’s Mayor Michael Venezia posted earlier today that Bloomfield was at 83 positive cases.
