Montclair resident Onward Fernandez, 9, received an Achievement Award for his performance on the International Math Kangaroo Exam.
Fernandez obtained a perfect score on the Level 3 exam, ranked first in New Jersey and ranked first nationally.
Fernandez, a full-time homeschool student, spent the past year preparing for the exam.
