Lifting the stigma of domestic violence and raising awareness of the issue is foremost in the work of Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates (S.O.F.I.A.). To that end, Executive Director Cynthia Walker invites the community to remember loved ones, support friends and neighbors, and affirm that With Awareness There is Hope at S.O.F.I.A.’s Annual Candlelight Vigil for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The event will be in Montclair’s Crane Park on Monday, October 25th, at 6:30 PM, and battery operated candles will be provided.
