You simply cannot have Thanksgiving dinner without dessert. Check out these shops in the area for an amazing selection of options to finish of your holiday meal!
Anthony’s Cheesecake (71 Washington Street, Bloomfield) has many desserts available for preorder. The selection includes cheesecakes like New York Style, Pumpkin, Cherry Swirl, and Sweet Potato Cinnamon Swirl, as well as pies, layer cakes, and cookies. The store will be open until 12:00 PM on Thanksgiving Day.
In the Company of Yum will offer a variety of pies to preorder for the holiday. The Thanksgiving menu includes Brown Butter Pumpkin, Keylime, Cinnamon Roll Apple, and The Man Pie. Caramel Apple and Mixed Berry Cheesecake bars are also available.
Jayce Baudry French Pastry (17 Church Street, Montclair) will accept pre-orders for Thanksgiving pies. Their offerings include Chocolate Pecan Bourbon Pie, Spiced Pumpkin Pie, and Apple Crumb Pie. Order now while supplies last.
Le French Dad Boulangerie & Café (10 Church Street, Montclair) will be taking orders for desserts through November 20. Choose from Apple Tart, Pumpkin Pie, and Pecan Pie. You can also preorder croutons, pumpkin seed pave, and apple/cinnamon pain de mie.
The Little Daisy Bake Shop (622 Valley Road, Montclair) will be offering a number of options for the holiday. Choose from Apple Crumb Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Holiday or Bundt Cakes. Also available are platters of whoopie pies, bars, and cookies, among other offerings. The holiday menu can be found on the website. Call in your order by November 18.
Mattarello Bakery & Café (254 Bellevue Avenue, Montclair) is offering a selection of desserts and pastries. From classics like Pumpkin and Apple pie to standouts like the Chestnut Chocolate Pie and Ricotta Cheesecake, there’s something for everyone. Also available are donuts, pastries, mousses, cookies, cakes, and more. There are also egg and gluten free options available.
Nicolo’s Italian Bakery (6 Baldwin Street, Montclair) will have Pumpkin, Apple, Cherry, Blueberry, and Pecan Pies available for Thanksgiving pre-orders. All orders will need to placed by November 22.

The Pie Store is not taking pre-orders, but there are holiday pies available on a first-come, first-served basis. They’ll be open Friday through Sunday leading up to the holiday but will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Dessert pies include apple pie, pumpkin pie, and key lime pie. You can also opt for a savory pie, such as Turkey Stuffing Pie, Steak, Ale & Mushroom Pie, Chicken & Vegetable Pie, Shepherd’s Pie, and Sausage Rolls.
Plum Bakery (179 Glenridge Avenue, Montclair) continues to offer their gluten free Thanksgiving desserts. Place your order by November 19. Pie varieties include Coconut Custard, Cranberry Apple Crumb, Pecan, and more. Cakes, breads, and other baked goods are also available to round out your gluten-free holiday meal.
Pure Love Pies (1042 Broad Street, Bloomfield) is offering a wide selection of pies and more, including their Butternut Squash Pie, Pecan Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, and Coconut Custard, as well as their famous Navy Bean Pie. Also available are Peach Cobbler, Banana Pudding, and cookies. Order online and allow at least 24 hours prior to pick up.
Stuff by SJ (342 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair) is a new addition to the list this year! They’ll be offering Classic Apple, Classic Pumpkin, and Pumpkin Streusel pies. Pre-order through the website, by calling, or via Facebook and Instagram.
Sweet Kitchen Montclair (533 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair) has desserts available to order for the holiday. Choose from Sticky Toffee Pudding, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Pecan Pie, and Tiramisu. Also available is a Dessert Assortment that includes 60 mini desserts and serves 10-12 people. Place your order by 3:00 PM on November 21.
Sweet T’s Southern Eatery (387 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair) is offering Sweet Potato Pies and Lemon Bundt Cakes for preorder as part of their Thanksgiving catering menu. Order by November 15. Pies are $40.
