Gilbreth who lived in Montclair, was the first female member inducted into the Society for Industrial Engineers. She was also the first female to receive the Hoover Medal, awarded in 1966 for public service as an industrial engineer. Gilbreth and her family became known to millions in the book “Cheaper by the Dozen”.

And, under the Performing Arts & Entertainment category, vote for Montclair’s own rock legend, the Eagles’ Joe Walsh, who came back to visit Montclair High School, his alma mater, back in 2015 and gave a benefit concert to raise funds for Montclair High School. Walsh returned in 2017, to see the new library and media center at the school.
