UPDATE: This event has been rescheduled to June 19.

The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that by 2030, one in five drivers will be age 65 and older. As drivers mature, natural changes in their bodies can affect their driving ability and safety behind the wheel.

Older drivers can adapt to factors that may affect their driving by making individual adjustments to find their best person-to-vehicle fit. CarFit® is a 15- to 20-minute personal assessment, during which trained technicians will assist you in adjusting your vehicle components for a better fit.

The Montclair Police Department is hosting the following CarFit® event:

When: Monday, June 19 from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Nishuane Park parking lot off Cedar Avenue
Why: To achieve your ideal person-to-vehicle fit, which can help you feel more comfortable and more in control when driving.

To make an appointment, contact Lt. Stephanie Egnezzo at (973) 509-4718 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. or email segnezzo@montclairnjusa.org. Walk-ins are welcome.
