The Glen Ridge Diversity and Inclusion Association (GRDIA) invites the community to its third annual picnic on Sunday, September 10, from 2–5 p.m. (Rain date: September 17) The picnic will be held at Hurrell Field in Glen Ridge and will feature food trucks, live music and games to celebrate diversity in the community!

Bring your appetite! Food trucks will be parked on Belleville Avenue alongside Hurrell Field. Enjoy offerings from GG Caribbean Restaurant, Kapamilya Foodtruck, Hot Dog Lady, Silantro Lime Tacos and The Towne Scoop. Local bands—BARD, Carlos Frias & Circulo Social, Jessica Owen with Paul Byrne and The Senegalese Sabar Band—will provide the entertainment.

The GRDIA has a mission to create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals in the community.

“When we started GRDIA, we didn’t know how it would be received, and we’ve been thrilled to see such strong, heartfelt support for diversity and inclusion in our community,” says GRDIA co-leader Felice Yeh Bettenbender. “Every year, the support continues to grow. Our annual picnic has become a wonderful way to kick off the fall by giving neighbors a fun, lively way to see each other and spend time together.”
