
Watchung Booksellers will officially launch The Kids’ Room at 44 Fairfield St. with a grand opening week of activities the last week of September, and storytimes and author events throughout the month.
On Friday, September 8 at 4:00, beloved children’s book author Dan Yaccarino will read books in honor of Grandparents’ Day. On Friday, September 22 at 4:00, Denise Lewis Patrick will share her latest picture book, Justice Ketanji: The Story of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
On Monday, September 11 at 11:00, The Kids’ Room will host weekly storytimes for babies and toddlers, and on Thursday, September 21 at 3:00, will host bi-weekly storytimes for K-2 readers. In October, the store will launch book clubs for middle grade and YA readers. Finally, the Kids’ Room will hold a grand opening celebration the week of September 25-30, including activities, giveaways, and costume character events.
The Kids’ Room is the second location of Watchung Booksellers, just down the block from the flagship store. It offers a dedicated space for shopping for children’s books and materials, from babies through tweens, while Watchung Booksellers offers graphic novels and YA literature for older teens, in addition to its robust selection of books and gifts for adults.
