$50,000 winning Powerball ticket sold at News Plus in Upper Montclair

One Upper Montclair shopper got lucky Saturday, purchasing a Lottery ticket worth $50,000 from News Plus at 603 Valley Road.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn in the Saturday, April 16 drawing, winning the third-tier prize of $50,000, according to a New Jersey Lottery press release. Another winning ticket in the third-tier category was sold in Somerset County, the release said.

The winning numbers for the Saturday drawing were 15, 21, 32, 62, and 65. The Powerball number was 26.

There were 39,539 other New Jersey players who took home an estimated $277,531 in prizes ranging from $4 to $500, according to the release.
