Man pepper-sprayed in parking dispute, police say
On Wednesday, Dec. 28, a man reported that he was in his vehicle in Maple Plaza waiting for a parking spot. When a spot opened up he attempted to drive in when another vehicle cut him off and took the spot. The two drivers got into an argument and the complainant reported that he was pepper sprayed. The other vehicle was reported to be a gray SUV, though the make and model is unknown. The vehicle was occupied by three males and the driver was wearing a green coat.

Tuesday, Dec. 27 : A complainant reported that he parked his 2021 Toyota Rav4 on Bloomfield Avenue and entered a store. The keys were left in the ignition. When he returned the vehicle was gone. It was recovered later that day in Newark, unoccupied.
Thursday, Dec. 29: A complainant reported that his 2015 Audi Q7 was stolen
from his driveway on Orange Road while he was shuffling cars around. The vehicle was recovered later that evening in Monroe Township, unoccupied.
Monday, Jan. 2: An individual reported that his work truck was entered
while he was performing gutter repairs on a residence on South Mountain Avenue. His cellphone and a company credit card were stolen. The credit card was reportedly used at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne.
Wednesday, Dec. 28: A complainant reported that his work shoes were stolen
from the YMCA on Park Street while he utilized the swimming pool. The shoes were valued at $100.
Thursday, Dec. 29: A resident reported that an Amazon package that was delivered to his home on William Street was stolen. The package contained a "Meta Quest 2" virtual reality headset valued at $512.
Friday, Dec. 30: Officers responded to Caggiano’s Liquor Store on Glenridge Avenue on an
activated alarm. Upon arrival they discovered the front door had been shattered by a rock. An
employee who responded out to the scene stated he believes only one bottle of alcohol was
stolen. The bottle was valued at $35 and the door was estimated to cost $900 to repair.
Monday, Jan. 2: A resident reported that a package containing
$600 in assorted clothing had been delivered and subsequently stolen on North Fullerton Avenue. The package was left in the front foyer.
