Aging in Montclair to host talk on how to avoid scams and protect assets
Aging in Montclair will host a Zoom talk Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. about how to avoid scams and protect assets, with two speakers from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Leslie Kazon and Sharon Gigante-Pushie will describe scam artists’ techniques and offer strategies for investing wisely and avoiding fraud. The program is part of AIM’s continuing effort to educate members and the general public on issues of importance to older residents, an announcement from the ggroup said.
Kazon is a veteran attorney in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, stationed in the New York Regional Office. Gigante-Pushie is a Securities Compliance Examiner in the SEC’s Office of Credit Ratings and has worked in the financial services industry for more than 30 years.
